
Board certified in Internal Medicine, Colin Hirst, MD, is an Interventional Cardiology Fellow at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. Engaged within a competitive program, he is working in the rapidly evolving interventional heart failure field. As an MD, Dr. Colin Hirst’s areas of clinical and academic emphasis are interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure and acute mechanical circulatory support and management of cardiogenic shock.
Dr. Hirst earned his doctor of medicine degree from Albany Medical College (Albany, NY). He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Saint Louis University Hospital and School of Medicine (Saint Louis, MO). He completed his general cardiology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center (Boston, MA). During his final year of his general cardiology fellowship, he served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Hirst is a member of the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology. Colin Hirst, MD’s leadership background includes serving as a member of the housestaff executive committee at Saint Louis University Hospital; as Chief Fellow for the Division of Cardiology at Tufts Medical Center; as Fellow liaison for the American Heart Association’s Cardiology Fellows Society of Greater Boston and as co-leader of the Tufts University School of Medicine ECG Education Course.
